Classes

We know that not every child who attends our classes has their heart set on starring on the big stage. Of course, we support those that do, but for the most part our classes are about having fun, and building a child’s imagination and self-confidence. We see our Starz go from shy to outgoing, afraid to brave, blocked to creative, voiceless to empowered. And that is exactly what our classes are all about!

WHAT TO EXPECT

Fun – whether children are coming to us for a drama or a gymnastics class, musical theatre or contemporary dance, one thing that we always guarantee is that they – and we – will have lots of fun.

Affordability – we believe that, as well as being fun, drama and other performing arts classes should be affordable to families from all walks of life. Parents love our pricing model, and we love the fact that we can welcome so many different children as a result of it.

Nurturing – while some of our Starz do have dreams of singing on the stage, we know that many – at least when they first join us – find the very idea daunting. Our mission is to help children with their self-confidence. We nurture them throughout their time with Starz Drama School and, for us, success isn’t about seeing them on the big stage; it’s about helping them transform from shy to confident and take this new found confidence on into other areas of their lives.

Confidence – we’ve mentioned it a few times already – we know! – but this is really, really important to us. Our classes are all about promoting a child’s confidence. This helps in their personal lives, and it helps them at school. It benefits them in social situations, and it has a very positive affect on their mental and physical health.

Imagination – the activities we use within our classes are carefully designed to fuel our students’ imagination. We encourage them to think big, outside the box, and teach them to reach for the Starz.

Big breaks – some of the children who attend our classes do want to pursue careers in theatre, television, or even film – and we love helping them to make those dreams a reality. We support children through their LAMDA exams, we provide individual coaching ahead of auditions, and we even help them find opportunities that are the perfect fit for their ambition.
